Country Provisions was originally founded as a NYC quartet in 2013 . We had a fine run playing popular venues in Brooklyn but with the departure of Dave to MN and Patrick to KY, the group disbanded in 2015 and recently reconfigured in Kentucky.
See Patrick's bio in About page.
Andrew hails from Rhinebeck, NY, and has been pickin' since he was a wee lad, having inherited the music gene from his guitar playing mom who gave lessons to neighborhood kids. He received formal training from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, and SUNY New Paltz and spent many years in the popular NY band, White Water. During this time the group had a Nashville recording contract with EMI Records, was voted the #1 country band in the Northeast Region for many years in a row, and supported such acts as Lee Greenwood, Mel McDaniel, Charlie Daniels, The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker, Poco and many others. Country Provisions was Andrew's first foray into the world of bass playing and he enjoyed the opportunity of holding down the bottom end for this talented group of musicians. He now plays bass in Bourbon Express.
Slim Curley was born in Aberystwyth, Wales, and grew up in Tacoma, Washington, where he studied piano from an early age, attended countless punk rock shows, took up guitar under the tutelage of a local blues musician, and later relocated to New York to seek his fame and fortune as a librarian. He plays with "girl singer" and songwriter Katie Brennan in Bourbon Express. He favors John B. Stetson hats and Jerry Lee Lewis!
Dave is a Minnesota native who grew up listening to hip-hop and nerd rock and now plays country music.
